Architecture

The Maadi Housing and Office Complex in Cairo, Egypt, is located on 39 acres of prime Nile River frontage. The development project includes modern condominium apartments, a shopping mall, a luxury hotel, an office and conference center, and two levels of parking facilities.

Residential facilities include 2,500 condominium apartments distributed in seven luxury towers, each with 42 stories; 13 semi-luxury towers, each with 32 stories; and 18 additional towers of 28 stories each. All apartments enjoy a view of the river, the Cairo skyline and pyramids to the north. The site plan was configured to provide each apartment with a view of the river, the Cairo skyline, or the pyramids to the north. The shopping mall contains 820,000 square feet of commercial space in fully-enclosed and air-conditioned levels. It features a wide variety of retail shops, department stores, restaurants, banks, movie theaters, and airline offices.

The mall was designed to serve not only those living in the 2,500 condominiums, but also local residents of the Maadi District. Residents of other Cairo districts have easy access to these facilities via commuter trains, the Helwan Expressway, and regular boat service on the River Nile.
